A screening of the recent documentary film "King Corn," will take place on Sunday, April 13, 2:30 p.m. at Groton School, Farmers Row, Route 111 (in The Hall, the original auditorium in the academic building) with a post-show talk by Ian Cheney, its co-writer, co-producer, and co-star. "King Corn is a feature documentary about two friends, one acre of corn, and the subsidized crop that drives our fast-food nation."

It offers many topics to chew on -- genetically-modified seeds, herbicides, friendship, agribusiness v. family farming, obesity-- as well as a cameo appearance by Michael Pollan, author of The Omnivore's Dilemma, whose work inspired the filmmakers.

It's a timely, creative, entertaining, and educational show.
